Nikon has launched the Coolpix P7000 compact digital camera that sets a new benchmark for quality photography in a discrete and stylish package. The Coolpix P7000 features a wide-angle 7.1x zoom (28-200mm) NIKKOR lens with optical Vibration Reduction (VR), two ED glass elements and Nikon’s brand new EXPEED C2 image processing system.

Gadget news We had heard some rumors about second announment of two Nikon camearas, the Coolpix P7000 point-and-shoot and D7000 DSLR. The Coolpix P7000 should be unveiled September 8, while the D7000 DSLR would arrive on September 15th alongside at least two new lenses (200mm f/2 and unidentified lens) and a new Speedlight.
